During the second visit, the investigator should confront the suspect with any non-DNA evidence first and conclude the interview with the DNA evidence. Some correctional centers do not allow recording equipment to be brought into the facility. The interviewing police officer should contact the facility in advance to determine what is permitted regarding recording interviews.
