Court Orders

n certain cases, the court may order that DNA testing take place at an outsourcing laboratory. This order could occur before any analysis is conducted or after the governmental laboratory has issued a report. Courts may order independent testing in high-profile cases or if the defense intends to use the independent testing to corroborate or refute the governmental laboratory's findings.
