Online training and Web-based seminars are two cost-effective methods for delivering a basic knowledge of forensic science capabilities and best practices.

Another effective means of disseminating forensic science education is for forensic scientists to facilitate question-and-answer sessions at roll call briefings for first responders and patrol officers. As an added benefit, this method may also foster increased collaboration between first responders, patrol officers and laboratory personnel.
