In the Spanish language, all nouns are masculine or feminine, singular or plural. Generally, masculine nouns will end with an oh
Listen to the Spanish pronunciation of o sound. Feminine nouns will end with an ah
Listen to the Spanish pronunciation of a sound. However, when referring to a group composed of males and females, the plural masculine form is used.
Note: A noun describing a group of all females will have a feminine ending.

Articles a, an, the, and some
When using articles in Spanish, the gender and number must agree. Articles are either definite (the) or indefinite (a, an, and some), masculine or feminine. An article will normally precede a noun.
Articles for the definite article "the" include:

el (ehl), los (lohs) are masculine. la (lah) and las (lahs) are feminine
Articles for the definite articles of "a", "an", and "some" include:

The masculine forms are un (oon) and unos (OO-nohs), while una (OO-nah) and unas (OO-nahs) are feminine.

Descriptive Adjectives

Joining Verbs (Conjugating Verbs)

The present tense is formed by dropping the ending and adding a different ending to the verb stem. The verb stem is what remains after the infinitive ending has been removed.
