LM's scalable and efficient set of solutions and subject-matter expertise will help NIJ and OJP meet their stated mission and objectives in the most cost-effective manner. In LM's continued commitment to the operation of the National Center, they will: - Develop and deliver innovative solutions to help NIJ complete the ongoing transformation of the NLECTC System and raise awareness of NLECTC's products and services within the criminal justice community through an overarching outreach and marketing strategy that will result in measurable increases in the number of practitioners informed and served. - Exploit technology to increase customer self-service, interaction and feedback; data integration; and program efficiency while decreasing the costs associated with support, maintenance and operations. - Expand our existing expertise in managing the compliance testing process to include the capacity to conduct research in response to emerging issues that impact the compliance testing program, thereby providing more rapid response to these concerns and enhancing the efficiency of program operation. - Use standardized metrics and data collection processes to measure tactical and strategic performance and the impact of dissemination plans and the marketing approach. Through its informational activities and through the compliance testing program Lockheed Martin will help local, and other law enforecemnt and criminal justice agencies make more reasoned decisions regarding the selection of equipment. Additionally, Lockheed Martin will publish a forensic issue ot its award winning TechBeat magazine to help better inform local and state crime laboratories concerning forenisc technologies, policies and practices. ca/ncf
