In a sexual assault case, it may be the responsibility of the first responding officer to transport the victim for a medical examination. Prior to being transported to the hospital, be sure to cover the victim with a CLEAN blanket, CLEAN sheet or a CLEAN paper wrap. This will help protect any evidence that may be located on the victim.
