With this solicitation, NIJ seeks applications for funding for rigorous, independent evaluation projects funded under the OJP Community-Based Violence Intervention and Prevention Initiative (CVIPI). This solicitation includes two funding categories: 1) Evaluation research of programmatic sites funded under the OJP FY23 and FY24 CVIPI solicitations and 2) evaluation research of other community-violence programs.

With this solicitation, NIJ seeks applications for two categories of investigator-initiated research: (1) studies that examine how observed racial and ethnic disparities in the justice system might be reduced through public policy intervention at any point during the administration of justice and (2) studies that advance knowledge and practice, policy, or both regarding the intersections of race, ethnicity, crime, and justice within the United States.

With this solicitation, NIJ seeks rigorous, applied evaluative research on: (1) police training; (2) police accountability policies and practices; (3) investigative practices to enhance clearance rates; and (4) police officer health and wellness programs.

With this solicitation, NIJ, in collaboration with the Bureau of Justice Assistance, seeks applications for funding rigorous research and evaluation projects to fill knowledge gaps in two topical areas: 1) studies on the root causes and consequences of school violence and 2) examinations of the impact and effectiveness of awards made for purposes authorized under the STOP School Violence Act.

With this solicitation, NIJ seeks rigorous research and demonstration projects to increase the impact of existing crime and justice research evidence. Specifically, NIJ seeks to fund research that leverages implementation science knowledge and promotes evidence-based policy and practice—most directly by developing, supporting, and evaluating efforts to improve research evidence used by policymakers, agency leaders, intermediaries, and other decision-makers who shape justice outcomes.

With this solicitation, NIJ seeks applications for funding rigorous applied research on drugs and crime to inform the development of evidence-based tools, practices, and policies for state, tribal, and local law enforcement and other criminal justice agencies that address drug trafficking, drug markets, and drug-related violence.
