NIJ seeks proposals to conduct research that enhances the knowledge of the relationship between victimization and offending, with an emphasis on criminal incidents or events. NIJ encourages applicants to submit proposals for bold, innovative approaches to enhance the understanding of processes linking criminal offending and victimization.

NIJ seeks proposals for research and evaluation projects to address the knowledge gaps related to trafficking in persons in the United States. NIJ is particularly interested in studies that address the under-reporting of trafficking cases at the Federal, State, and local levels of criminal justice. NIJ is also interested in evaluation studies of counter-trafficking programs and tools.
