NIJ FY22 Design, Implementation, and Testing of a National Model for Technical Violations
With this solicitation, NIJ seeks proposals for funding for rigorous research and evaluation projects from accredited academic institutions in partnership with supervising agencies to design, implement, and test parole or probation supervision models that reduce revocations for technical violations while ensuring successful re-entry and minimizing recidivism through adoption of appropriate revocation policies coupled with evidence-based services. With this solicitation, NIJ seeks proposals for rigorous research and evaluation projects that inform efforts to prevent and combat hate crimes and their effects. Though applications may cover a range of topics, NIJ is particularly interested in funding research to: (1) understand and prevent hate crime offending and reoffending, (2) identify strategies that improve the reporting, investigating, and prosecuting of hate crimes, (3) address the needs of victims of hate crimes and their communities.

With this solicitation, NIJ seeks applications for rigorous youth mentoring research and evaluation projects to address one or more of the following priority areas: (1) increasing the capacity for achieving broad, population-level impacts; (2) understanding how mentoring can advance change mechanisms promoting positive youth development; (3) examining program participation long-term effects; and (4) optimizing program effectiveness through iterative cycles of development paired with rigorous evaluation feedback.
