This article briefly describes the redesign of JUSTNET, the research Web site developed under the National Law Enforcement and Corrections Technology Center (NLECTC).
Abstract
The National Law Enforcement and Corrections Technology Center’s (NLECTC) JUSTNET Web site plays a prominent role in the Information Age Technologies and the Justice System course due to its navigational ease and the containment of important information. JUSTNET was recently redesigned to provide easier access to its information. This article briefly describes this redesign. Today, the site as a whole is more user friendly and most importantly was brought into compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act regulations. A significant change is the reorganization of the site to make navigating and finding information easier. The biggest change is the addition of the NLECTC Virtual Library which is a programmed database divided into six information categories: funding sources, NLECTC services, publications, TechBeat articles, technology projects, and Web sites.
