The AISLE II Grant standard electronic mail (SMTP) Interface Project resulted in the design, development, and implementation of the components necessary to establish an open interface on the Nlets System.
Abstract
The new SMTP Interface was fully tested under a series of unit and system-level tests. In addition, the State of Wisconsin Department of Justice developed a pilot implementation of the SMTP interface that enabled the new services to be fully tested in an operational environment. The project concluded with the successful exchange of information between the Wisconsin pilot SMTP interface and the legacy, text-based Maine System.
