The objective of this research is to improve the specificity of the analytical methods used to identify MDMA, MBDB, MDEA, and related controlled substances. This project will provide specific methodology and analytical data to discriminate between the methylenedioxyphenethylamine drugs and those regioisomeric and isobaric molecules having the same molecular weight and major fragments of equivalent mass (i.e. identical mass spectra).
