Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2003, $397,400)
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation will use this Earmark to address the following issues:
expanding that laboratory's digital imaging capabilityes to a state of the art system allowing full utilization of the LIMS and use by all operational sections; supplying adequate instrumentation for the expanded staff in the chemistry section and to replace aging instrumentation; implementing a new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS); and decreasing the number of untested cases and the turnaround time for DNA analysis in Kansas.
