During the grant period, the California Department of Justice Crime Laboratories completed 270.5 homicide equivalents (two no-suspect cases of a lesser crime can be substituted for one homicide/sexual assault case), uploading all qualifying DNA profiles to CODIS.
Abstract
This project resulted in 13 data bank hits, and the authors expect the hit rate to increase substantially as more samples are entered. This report includes project statistics and a narrative of selected data bank hits.
