Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2020, $595,845)
This project examines the Comprehensive School Threat Assessment Guidelines (CSTAG) model across schools in Florida. It will assess threat assessment training and implementation, identified threat types, and whether threats are resolved without violence. It will include collecting school staff (administrators, teachers and school resource officers) surveys and interviews, and administrative data (threat assessments and pre-post student and parent training data). It will also assess whether threat assessment is conducted without disproportionate negative consequences for students across diverse groups defined by race, ethnicity, and disability status. Note: This project contains a research and/or development component, as defined in applicable law, and complies with Part 200 Uniform Requirements - 2 CFR 200.210(a)(14). CA/NCF
