Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2010, $766,370)
The purpose of the project is to assist in the reduction of offender recidivism by conducting a comprehensive program evaluation of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections' current location-based offender monitoring system in order improve program performance and inform the development of innovative geospatial tools for monitoring and investigation and a management information system that supports the agency's evidence-based practice. The results of this effort will support the development of improved technology and practice for local law enforcement and corrections agencies, as well as for state agencies.
