Support for the P-25 Steering Committee

Through reimbursable funds from the Department of Homeland Security provided in support of Project 25/34 and Project MESA, this project continues the development of public safety standards. This award continues work in developing the Project 25 land mobile radio suite of standards for law enforcement use. As the standards are ratified, manufacturers are able to build to a common platform that allows for interoperability between different manufacturers' equipment. Ultimately, the goal is to reduce the cost of a land mobile radio for all law enforcement agencies.
