Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2009, $499,995)
The purpose of this award will be for the Cuyahoga County Prosecutors Office in Cleveland, Ohio to fund the operation of the Cuyahoga County Cold Case Squad (CCCCS). The CCCCS will work in collaboration with city and county agencies to investigate cases that have potential to be solved with DNA analysis. These funds will also be used for DNA testing that would be preformed by the Cuyahoga County Coroners Office and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation for the cases submitted by the CCCCS. ca/ncf
