Funding for this award will be used to support additional personnel as follows; New York County District Attorney's Office (NYCDA) investigator; two assistant district attorneys; one prosecutor; one detective investigator at RCDA; and several medical examiners at OCME. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) will work directly with the District Attorneys from Staten Island and New York County to solve their cold cases, utilizing recent technological advances in DNA testing. The Mayor's Office of the Criminal Justice Coordinator (CJC) will also work in collaboration with OCME, the NYCDA, and the Richmond County District Attorney (RCDA). ca/ncf
