The purpose of this proposal will be to fund the Sheriff's Department Sergeant and Investigator overtime, investigative travel expenses, overtime for the Department of Justice DNA lab personnel and private DNA lab testing. Since its inception in 2000, California's DNA Cold Hit Program has resulted in more than 135 cold hits in Riverside County, including 27 in 2008.
