Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2008, $446,878)
These funds will be used to deliver four workshops (four days each in length) to a total of eighty DNA analysts with at least one year of work experience. The workshops will focus on low copy number and miniSTR technology and also consist of a combination of classroom and laboratory exercises as well as pre-course material which will be available on a web portal. Course evaluations will be completed and certificates of completion will be given to students.
