The purpose of these funds will be used for Cold Cases in Alabama that will expand upon previous successes of the ADFS projects funded by NIJ that reduced backlogs for DNA testing of non-suspect sexual assault in four (4) major metropolitan areas within Baldwin, Calhoun, Etowah, Lee, Morgan and Tuscaloosa counties. The funding will be primarily used for the compensation of two Special Agents and one Investigator to review, evaluate, investigate, and submit cases for DNA analysis.
