Evaluation of Active RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) Pilot Program

This is a proposed Phase 2 of the orginal project using the developed evaluation study design to evaluate the effectiveness of active RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology in a jail environment . Although successfully implemented in more static prison environments, this technology has yet to be deployed in a high-turnover jail facility with short lengths of stay and a high volume of inmate movements. This project will measure the effectiveness of this technology by assessing the problems of unauthorized movements and inmate violence.
