Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2004, $397,647)
Considering the lack of information regarding successful programs to curtail or prevent sexual violence incidents in jails and juvenile facilities, the grantee intends to identify up to 20 evidence based programs dedicated to this endeavor. The grantee expects to answer a number of questions
regarding these programs with the hope of highlighting such programs for other correctional institutions to model. This includes the organizational and programmatic characteristics of the program; data regarding performance measures and outcomes; and comparisons to protocols and procedures from other disciplines that may assist in the development of programs and performance measures for programs dealing with the prison rape issue.
