Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2003, $993,005)

This award will provide funding for the Baltimore Police Department Crime Laboratory Improvement Program. The objectives of this project are to increase analytical testing capabilities; enhance the efficiency of the overall analytical process; decrease total turnaround time for forensic testing; and provide advanced training, and otherwise improve laboratory systems, in order to obtain personnel certification and laboratory accreditation.
