PROJECT SUMMARY FOR 2001-MU-MU-0007 S-1
This second of three years of funding for the Committee on Law and Justice will support two meetings during the 12-month grant award period. The Committee will also hold one workshop and one seminar on topics to be selected by the Committee in consultation with the National Institute of Justice. The workshop will consist of a one-day meeting on a selected topic where approximately four commissioned papers will be presented, followed by formal comments be selected discussants, and general discussion. The seminar will consist of a half-day session where one or more scholars will present on and emerging area of interest in criminal justice. A report will be produced as a result of the workshop. The workshop papers will be made available to the sponsor prior to the workshop and will subsequently be incorporated into the workshop report to be published by the National Academy Press.
