Project Summary for 97-LB-VX-K002 s6
The Association of Public Safety Communications Officials International, Inc. (APCO) proposal for continuation funding will be used for the expansion of APCO's multi-phase multi-year program to develop a comprehensive suite of new wireless communication standards for the public safety-sector, including law enforcement. Specifically, this supplement will continue support of the APCO Project 25 Standards process to create and publish a suite of very narrow band (6.25 KHz or equivalent) digital land mobile radio standards. The APCO organization represents all areas of public safety. Funds from this project will be used to help ensure a broad-based representation of local user involvement in the planning and approval process of standard setting.
