PROJECT SUMMARY FOR 95-IJ-CX-0029
This project, "The Self-Evaluating Justice Organization: ì
Building Local Evaluation Capacity", supports an NIJ Visiting ì
Fellow, Dr. Michael Maxfield. Dr. Maxfield will examine the ì
role of evaluation as a problem-solving management tool in ì
criminal justice agencies, and produce a series of publications ì
that address aspects of this topic, including setting goals and ì
objectives, measurement and research design, and techniques for ì
data collection. The purpose is to fill a much-needed gap in the ì
existing literature about the role of evaluation and how it can ì
be carried out at the local level with limited resources and ì
expertise.
