This article discusses the results of an evaluation of three panoramic imaging technologies used for digital crime scene documentation. The evaluation was conducted by the Department of Forensic Science at Virginia Commonwealth University through the National Institute of Justice Forensic Technology Center of Excellence (FTCoE). The evaluation objectively compared the technologies to assess their capabilities, requirements, benefits, and challenges. The results of the evaluation are available in the 2013 publication A Technical Evaluation of Three Panoramic Crime Scene Imaging Technologies, which can be downloaded from the FTCoE Web site.
