This final report describes the development of a computer-based training tool for bombing crime scene investigations.
Abstract
Eastern Kentucky University created an instructional CD for law enforcement personnel containing several lessons relating to bombing crime scene investigations. Included on the CD are lesson plans, classroom handout materials, instructional aids, and video clips on explosion dynamics, the identification of commercial and military explosives, improvised explosive device (IED) fuzing systems and components, post blast identification of IED components, basic military ordnance identification, weapons of mass destruction, bomb threat management procedures, and the investigation of the post-blast scene and the collection of evidence.
