The Needs Assessment Report to Congress (NCJ 253626) identifies the tools, resources, and data needed to keep forensic laboratories, as well as medical examiner and coroner offices, on the path to progress. The National Institute of Justice, on behalf of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and in collaboration with other DOJ agencies, directed development of the assessment.
