Abstract
In the fall of 2009, the Virginia Center for Policing Innovation (VCPI) is scheduled to offer law enforcement investigators the online self-paced version of Unsolved Cases: Cold Case Analysis for Law Enforcement and Prosecutors. The program provides training in forensic science advancements and associated investigative techniques, which will give investigators the knowledge and skills to successfully investigate and resolve cold cases. VCPI utilizes funding from the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs' National Institute of Justice in support of the original four classroom sessions on cold case training, which is now expanded to the online version and is receiving positive feedback from applicants.
