Description
The goals of National Institute of Justice (NIJ) Violence Against Women (VAW) program of research are to improve knowledge and understanding of intimate partner and dating violence, stalking, and sexual violence through science to best prevent and respond to these crimes. This call for proposals is tied to Department of Justice priorities related to reducing violent crime, responding to victimization, protecting police officers, and enhancing investigations and prosecution. NIJ strives to support objective and independent knowledge and validated tools to reduce violence against women, promote justice for victims of crime, and enhance criminal justice responses to such crimes.
