Description
NIJ is seeking applications for funding to evaluate the Bureau of Justice Assistance's Statewide Automated Victim Information and Notification (SAVIN) Program. As of Fiscal Year 2008, the SAVIN program has provided funding for 33 States and Puerto Rico for the development, implementation, and/or enhancement of a victim notification system. Funding through this solicitation is intended to support a national evaluation including State-level analyses of the SAVIN program leading to a promising practices toolkit to aid the continued development, implementation, and enhancement of comprehensive victim notification programs within individual States and territories. In addition to the evaluation focus, NIJ hopes to advance both theory and practice related to victims through this research. See FAQs for this solicitation http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/nij/funding/2009/sl883-faqs.htm.
