Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2013, $39,837)
This project will use data from the National Violence Against Women Survey (NVAWS) to examine patterns and predictors of repeat victimization. Repeat and multiple victimizations will be identified. Patterns of victimization will be examined over time. Early experiences with violent victimization will be examined as they influence later victimization experiences. NVAWS data will be used to construct novel measures of victimization, sequence victimization experiences over a respondents lifetime, and construct a multi-level approach with victimization incidents nested within respondents. Analyses will focus on determining if victimization is due to factors regarding an individual versus prior victimization. ca/ncf
