Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2013, $490,000)
This award was competitively made in response to a proposal submitted by Unmanned Experts, LLC, to a National Institute of Justice FY 2013 solicitation: "Applied Technology Research and Development for Criminal Justice Purposes".
In this project, Unmanned Experts, LLC proposes to investigate the use of photogrammetric imaging technology and methods to capture and process imagery with small-unmanned aircraft systems (SUAS) for accident reconstruction improving the safety of officers, responders, and the public in traffic incident management (TIM), as well as speeding the return of roadways to service. This research would support NIJ's efforts to introduce SUAS into practice in a safe, effective, and lawful manner. ca/nfc
