Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2010, $442,590)
The overarching goal of this proposal is to develop and perform training, initially for Michigan MEs and death investigators, to begin establishing NAME best practices in forensic pathology at all ME offices, regardless of accreditation status. Subsequently, optimized training can be performed at the national level, with a focus on regions where the need is as great or greater.
