This award will provide funding to the University of Massachusetts Lowell to develop a low cost, small, contactless fingerprinting system capable of capturing four fingers simultaneously. The equipment will be compatible with AFIS and APIS systems used by law enforcement agencies, and will wirelessly communicate with centers of biometric information.
