The monies sought in this application will be applied to the remaining unsolved homicide cases not covered by a previous 2008 grant. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement will, free of charge, provide STR testing on applicable evidence. Evidence needing Y-STR, MtDNA or Mini-Filer testing will be sent to private labs for a fee.
