Development of a Forensic Science Testing and Evaluation Laboratory

The Forensic Science Testing and Evaluation Laboratory (FSTEL) of the Midwest Forensic Resource Center (MFRC) proposes to examine, test, and evaluate methods of forensic training, forensic analysis, and crime laboratory business and information management technology. The overall goal of this program is to help crime labs improve their effectiveness and efficiency in the criminal justice system in an era of decreasing public funding, increasing demands for crime laboratory efficiency, new requests for legal and economic accountability, and new demands for scientific validity and effectiveness.
