Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2008, $304,447)
The purpose of these funds will be used to review thirty-one cold case homicides dating back to 1955 for potential biological evidence. Four investigators and a DNA analyst will be hired to review casework, evaluate the evidence, organize case files, repackage and preserve evidence to current standards. Funds will also be used for travel, laboratory equipment and office supplies.
