Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2008, $245,333)
These funds will be used in collaboration with the California Department of Justice and our Forensic Lab/associated partners, to increase the number of DNA cold case arrests. This will be accomplished through review, identification and analysis, after specific biological evidence is located in the cold case. Eligible DNA analysis then will be submitted to CODIS for profiling to increase the number of potential hits.
