Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2008, $399,330)
The purpose of these funds will put in place a systematic approach to investigate unsolved cases in an effort to identify unsolved cases, using advanced technologies in DNA processes. During the period in which the grant is in effect, it is estimated that approximately forty cases per month will be reviewed to be identified for DNA testing including CODIS entry of cases without suspects. Indictments will be sought on perpetrators identified.
