Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2005, $387,400)
The National Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (NLETS) will deliver expanded analytical intelligence capabilities across all sectors of U.S. law enforcement ' to federal, state, city, local and tribal components ' by exploiting the latent 'communal knowledge' present in the body of agency messages and queries routinely conveyed through NLETS. This expanded capability will allow enforcement intelligence analysts to identify and reveal previously hidden relationships and associations, conduct pattern, trend and time analyses, draw relevant inferences, and reach sound and demonstrable conclusions form the vast available data.
