Fast Fingerprint Capture Technology to Capture Up to 10 Roll-Equivelant Fingerprints Within 15 Seconds

TBS North America Inc. is further developing their patent pending 'Segment ImagingTM' system based on touchless, optoelectronics technology using customized hardware and software to capture fingerprints in a rapid manner in all settings where currently used by public safety. The software system includes algorithms for hardware calibration and for real-time image quality control. Development goals include enrolling cooperative subjects with no or minimal operator involvement, support for non-cooperative enrollment, and capture of all 10 rolled-equivalent prints within a 15 second time frame, and within 5 seconds for subsequent enrollment.

TBS North America, Inc. will continue its development of their Fast Capture device that will capture ten, high-quality, rolled-equivalent fingerprints in less than 15 seconds. The purpose of this project is to create a mid-sized, Touchless Ten Printer (TTP) that is portable and durable and deployable in the near future at affordable cost for law enforcement application in combating terrorism and other kinds of crimes. This automated fingerprint imaging system will be compatible with NIST standards and interoperable with the FBI's IAFIS system.
