Operation of the National Law Enforcement and Corrections Technology Center-Western Region

The National Law Enforcement and Corrections Technology Center - West (NLECTC-West) will support the Office of Science and Technology research, development, test, and evaluation (RDT&E) process by assisting in the identification of technology needs and operational requirements; testing, demonstrating, and evaluating new technologies emerging from the OS&T R&D cycle; and providing capacity building and technology assistance to the public safety community. The principle technology focus of the NLECTC-West will be less-lethal and pusuit management activities. These activities will be in support of the RDT&E process. NLECTC-West will serve as the Technology Coordinator for the Less Lethal and Pursuit Management Technology Working Groups.
