University of Notre Dame du Lac will be researching advanced and high-resolution 3D face imaging using passive stereo and cross-sensor comparisons of 3D face recognition. The State University of New York at Stony Brook will support research in retargeting and relighting of face expressions using spherical harmonic morphable models. This project will create a database of iris, high resolution faces, and 3-D face images that are available to law enforcement vendors and the R&D community for the improvement of biometrics through improved computer biometric algorithms (fusion and multi-modal comparisons).
