Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2003, $1,490,250)
The goals of this project are to: 1) develop an integrated academic and research program under the auspices of the Northeast Regional Forensic Institute (NERFI) in critical areas of critical need in forensic science; 2) graduate case-ready, employable scientists from University of Albany's forensic science programs; 3) provide training of new scientists hired by forensic labs; 4) provide continuing education for current forensic scientists; and 5) enhance research and development in forensic science.
