The objective of this project is to perform a comprehensive study of the trace element variation in auto windshield glasses, as a function of supplier and year of manufacture, using laser ablation inductively-coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS); the statistical validity of identifying auto windshields by trace element compositions will be explored; and documented in a web-based database format.
