These funds will be used by the Town of Middlebury Police Dept. to reduce the backlog on physical examination of latent pronts, track/trail evidence and tools marks, reduce the dependency o other labs for evidence processing, provide a resource for the crime laboratory in verifying latent print identifications and reducing the backlog of physical exam cases and efficiently. As a result of this funding, Middlebury Police Dept will improve their efficiency in evidence management, processing, and examination, as well as expedite the evidence processing to adequately support criminal investigations.
